Hindon Airport- CIVIL ENCLAVE was inaugurated on March 8, 2019, by PM. Narendra Modi. Located Sikandarpur Road, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh was earlier Air Force Base camp. - The vision of Hindon Airport-
The vision of setting this Air force base into the commercial airport was to achieve the RCS-UDAN scheme launched by the government to avail the air transportation to every citizen of India traveling to Tier II and Tier III cities of the country. Under very cheap fares, approx Rs. 2500 per hour of travel was decided by the government and AAI on the routes of cities like Pithoragarh, Nasik, Shimla, Hubli, Jamnagar, etc. The airport is very approachable for people from Noida, Ghaziabad, and East Delhi.
- Approved Airlines from Hindon Airport-
On the upcoming Friday, Oct 11, 2019, Flights from Hindon Airport will take off for Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand by Heritage Airlines. The CEO of Heritage Airlines – Rohit Mathur is very pleased to announce the commencement of the flights and reported full booking from Oct 11- Oct 26 on various routes decided. Flights to Karnataka’s Hubbali are scheduled for next month. Apart from these Ghodawat Airlines of Sanjay Ghodawat Group (SGG), Star Airlines, Indigo and Turbo Airlines will be seen taking flight soon from Airport.

With the launch of that Airport, it is now accessible to travel to multi cities across. It is also diverting major air traffic centralized to IGI Airport. After this, IGI Airport will take care of the International Flights and Terminal III will look after domestic Tier I cities. Major Tier II and Tier III cities will be diverted to Hindon Airport in the upcoming future. The AAI has decided the minimum luggage weight to be 7 kgs right now. that the Airport is good enough to hold 300 passengers.
