Bhagat Singh Park – Highlights of The Project
Bhagat Singh Park is constructed in the memories of Martyr Bhagat Singh to honor the sacrifice he made in the freedom struggle. The idea of developing a park in the memory of Shaheed Bhagat Singh was envisioned in January 2016, but it took two years to start the work at the site. And now finally the Noida authority started the work on Wednesday at the Bhagat Singh Park which is located next to Noida – Greater Noida Expressway in Noida Sector 150.
Sector-150 – The Greenest Sector of Noida
Already the most greenest and well-organized Sector of Noida, Sector-150 is now a point of attraction for tourism as well and the credit goes to the Bhagat Singh Park that is being developed in the sector. The entire sector encompasses very posh and luxurious residential projects and is still 80% green in the area.
Sprawled across in the total area of 40 acres, Bhagat Singh park will be the biggest park in sector 150 despite it already being such a green zone. Looking at the increasing pollution rate in Delhi/NCR, Government is trying to promote greenery through various ideas. The first installation of the vertical garden all along the metro pillar by the Delhi and Noida Government and now the plans of building parks and Night Safari in Noida and Greater Noida will cater to most of the problem of low-density green zones.
Insights of the Bhagat Singh Park – Words from the Authority
“ Bhagat Singh Park will comprise of 2000 trees and 75,000 shrubs apart from the grass. We have decided to plant fruit and ornamental trees in equal numbers so that the park is pleasing to the eye and also yields fruits. We have decided to plant traditional trees such as mango, Jamun, and neem in this park,” said Omvir Singh – The Director of Horticulture at Noida authority.
The Authorities have also planned to set a “Flame Of Patriotism” in the center of the park to honor Martyr Bhagat Singh. Just like an “Eternal Flame of Patriotism” that is glowing in the Cellular Jail in the Andaman Islands, the authorities want every citizen of India to remember this will of sacrifice and devotion these freedom fighters had towards our country.
Landside Eatery – And much more!
Also, a Landside Eatery is being built beside the lake in the Bhagat Singh Park. Build in the cost of Rs. 1.46 crore, this eatery contains a deck that is facing the waters. Along with waterside eating view, You will witness beautiful landscape, pleasure garden (amod vatika), children’s garden (baal vatika), garden of fragrance (sugnadh vatika), palm garden and bamboo garden (baans vatika) with various functional components such as pavilions, patios, resting places and shrub beds along with courtyard, kitchen, toilets, for visitors convenience.
The park will be completed in 18 months as said by the Noida authorities. It will become a tourist spot when ready.
